The West Suburban Wildcats Cooperstown team has gone a long way to make a name for

itself.

While no one is giving any notice to the distance of the near 1600-mile roundtrip

journey, people around the east coast as well as the travel baseball circuit are

certainly talking. And that's because the West Suburban Wildcats, in just it's

second year of existence, accomplished what no other 59th-seeded team could do --

advance to the Elite Eight in the Cooperstown Dreams Park National American Tournament of Champions.

9U Team Vera: WSBL Division & Tourney Champs

The 9U Wildcats capped off a stellar season by clinching 9U division title and securing the 1st place spot in the WSBL Championship tournament. This incredibly talented group of players braved the sweltering heat and played their hearts out in a 10-4 win over the Bolingbrook Rampage.

Wildcats Dominate at Kings Island Invitational

12U Team Manns: Division Champs at Kings Island Invitational Tournament

The Wildcats were on fire at the Kings Island Invitational Tournament the last week of June. Five of eight Wildcat teams that participated went on to the semi-finals, with 12U Team Manns taking home a division title! The 14U team went undefeated into the semi-finals and showcased their skills incredibly well. A great job was done by all despite the intense heat, showing that the Wildcats are a force to be reckoned with.

11U Team Garza: 2012 CABA Illinois State Champs!!

Rockford native, Coach Jorge Garza, and his talented 11U team battled for the coveted CABA championship title against stiff competition in the CABA Illinois State Championship. The end result was a fantastic win in the 11U Division where Wildcats Team Garza took home the state championship title!

Wildcats Bring Home the Hardware at the Will County Sheriff's Tournament

The 10U, 11U, and 12U Wildcats participated in the Will County Sheriff's Tournament April 20th - April 22nd and brought home some fantastic wins! With 5 teams in competition at the Willl County Sheriff's Tournament, the Wildcats placed in every division.

In the 12U division, Team Hardy and Team Manns battled for the 1st Place title on a cold and windy Sunday afternoon. Both teams battled their hearts out, but in the end Team Hardy took the title. It is a true accomplishment when two teams can take the 1st and 2nd place slots over the rest of the competition!!

The Wildcats are USSSA sanctioned and are allowed to participate in tournaments exclusive to USSSA. Each team is sanctioned based on performance and record, which is key when we put together our schedules so we can match up our teams accordingly. By doing so, we can train our players according to their skill levels and build upon their strengths and address areas of improvement.
